Signals that change the next move

How can life sciences brands turn growing volumes of data and intelligence into smarter, faster commercial decisions?
Last week, Chief Innovation Officer Will Reese and Chief Data Officer Jamie Avallone delivered a live webinar event for clients at the Inizio Evoke office in New York. They explored how AI and applied intelligence are changing healthcare marketing, omnichannel activation and brand planning — helping teams move beyond broad audience segments toward more precise, context-driven engagement.
The central idea was simple: we don’t have an intelligence problem. We have a translation problem. The opportunity is to connect the signals already available to a better next move for a specific customer, in a specific context, at the right moment.
Moving from segments to signals
Traditional omnichannel planning often moves from signal to segment, journey, channel and content. Applied intelligence enables a more dynamic model: signal, context, decision, action and learning.
By bringing together clinical behavior, beliefs, intent, access, engagement and other contextual signals, life sciences brands can build richer HCP and patient profiles. This will help teams understand not only who to engage, but what to do next and when to act.
Using hereditary angioedema (HAE) as an applied example, Will and Jamie demonstrated how these signals can inform HCP engagement, patient support, content strategy, media planning and field activation — creating more relevant experiences around the needs of each stakeholder.
Test faster. Learn faster. Invest smarter.
AI and applied intelligence can also help teams pressure-test opportunities before committing significant budget or field resources.
From rapid ideation and deeper analysis of customer pain points to synthetic audiences, digital twins and scenario modeling, teams can test hypotheses earlier, identify where opportunities warrant further investment and learn when to change course.
The goal is not simply to move faster. It is to create a tighter learning loop between signals, intelligence, the next move and outcomes — feeding what happens in market back into future decision-making.
“Strategic planning should get “smarter week over week.” Instead of intelligence remaining locked in research decks and PowerPoints, AI can help make it accessible and actionable across the commercial organization.”
Turning intelligence into action
For life sciences brands, the opportunity isn’t more dashboards, more data or more content. It’s shortening the distance between what we observe, what it means, what we do next and what we learn as a result.
The question for healthcare marketers now: is your intelligence actually changing the next move?
