1. OVERVIEW AND EXPECTATIONS

Each employee is evaluated on an individual basis, so some employees may spend more or less time in certain roles, which is to be expected. - JOB SUMMARY
The VP has transitioned into a managerial role, actively participating in Evoke Kyne’s Regional Management Team (RMT). The transition from Director to VP is significant. You are a trusted partner in supporting the vision and growth of our agency among clients and teams, as well as managing staff and shaping their professional growth. You may directly manage approximately 2-4+ employees at this level and effectively run social strategy on multiple client accounts, appropriately delegating work to mid-to-junior level staff and providing consistent strategic oversight on these client accounts. At this level, will be responsible for the hands-on planning, coordination and management of the development, execution and financial administration of social media strategies across client business, and have ultimate responsibility when it comes to delivering quality work. Should an issue arise for the client, VPs typically get contacted to provide counsel and help remedy situations. In situations related to quality of work or staffing, you demonstrate confidence, poise and maturity, with the ability to immediately respond and implement solutions, looping in your direct manager as needed. You understand and apply all aspects of financial management for social and influencer-related budgets, sharing pertinent updates with clients, while also helping with monthly/quarterly/yearly projections as well as staffing charts. As part of a specialty team, you are instrumental in partnering with senior leaders on creating best-in class capabilities and proactively seek to consistently expand your knowledge base. As a VP, you are a strategic thinker and able to apply a rigorous process to business development and strategic planning. You should also have strong presentation skills and executive presence, whether in person or virtually/by phone. Typically, the Vice President:
- Manages multiple significant and high-profile social media projects and engagements across clients
- Typically has 10+ years relevant experience
- Manages assigned projects independently with 1-2+ direct reports
- Actively participates in new business efforts, whether growing in-line business and helping to secure new clients

- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENT PARTNERSHIP
- Leads and maintains relationships with core clients and external audiences and partners
- Serves as lead strategic social media counsel for client engagements based on broad communications landscape and business goals; takes immediate action on client feedback
- Leads all aspects of planning and execution of social media projects for clients (including leadership of annual client program planning), ensuring timeliness, efficiency and high-quality delivery of results
- Responds to client concerns with thoughtful strategic guidance/responding on a timely basis, demonstrating commitment and ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise
- Manages financial tracking and administration pertaining to social programming for key client engagements, in partnership with senior account team members
- Serves as facilitator/moderator for social media-related client workshops and events, including LinkedIn training, social media trend overviews, social media branding workshops and 101 sessions, etc.
LEADERSHIP AND TEAMWORK
- Leads onboarding new specialty team members and account team members to best practices for working with social team
- Serves as a mentor and resource in educating internal teams on social and influencer best practices
- Provides direct and constructive feedback to junior team members, supporting them in developing fundamental skill sets (writing, research, logistics, etc.)
- Encourages regular feedback from manager and team members
- Partners effectively with agency and other specialty leads across media, digital and creative to deliver integrated programming recommendations for clients; models collaborative abilities with staff
- Demonstrates strong strategic leadership skills; guides social strategy for assigned business and teaches others
- Conducts staff annual reviews and regular check-ins, overseeing professional development and opportunities for growth and advancement
- Supervises staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching and providing clear and consistent feedback
- Proactively seeks out professional development opportunities, skillset growth in digital/social

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
- Demonstrates the ability to apply strong writing skills to all projects, providing thoughtful editorial guidance to social and account team members, ensuring overall quality in all outputs
- Hones presentation skills and can effectively coach other team members to further develop their skills accordingly
- Effectively communicates timelines to junior team members and provides clear status updates to SVP and above
- Ensures accuracy of all written projects when reviewing work, including grammar, fact-checking, adhering to platform best practices, trends, hashtags, and referencing documents as needed
- Creates and refines work processes with account teams including development of strategic briefs and ensuring social team inclusion as appropriate
- Comes prepared to lead internal and external meetings, and reviews notes and recaps of discussion points
- Leads client interactions and liaison with external agency and third-party partners (e.g., vendors, social platform reps, influencers, etc.)
- Proactively drives agency recommendations and idea generation
- Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness and works through issues independently
- Manages workflow on accounts, anticipating and flagging staffing issues and offering solutions to EVP
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with colleagues, clients and others
- Understands industry compliance environment and operates within client standard operating procedures (SOPs) and national/international guidelines, has working knowledge of approval tools such as Zinc, PromoMats and others, and works with junior team members for review and approval
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Supports development and presentation of new business proposals from start to finish (in partnership with other team members and partners); presents during new business pitches with confidence
- Continuously identifies opportunities for organic growth of social media programming within accounts
- Takes the initiative in seeking training on company processes/procedures
- COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Consistently achieves billability goal of 80%
- Completes timesheets accurately and on time each week
- Understands financial processes/systems and supports accurate budget development related to social & influencer projects in collaboration with account team and EVP
- Partners with EVP to assess staffing/resources regularly to effectively meet clients’ social media programming needs
- BUSINESS SUPPORT & PERSONAL GROWTH
- Takes the initiative in seeking training on company processes/procedures
- Participates in all mandatory training sessions and identifies opportunities for additional training opportunities specific to social, influencer or paid
- Proactively supports diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and actively engages in efforts to personally learn/grow and drive change at broader level
- Understands key issues to be considered when making decisions and has the ability to formulate strong recommendations based on experience and data
- Utilizes data to drive agency recommendations and idea generation including ability to lead social listening and research projects to uncover clear and actionable insights
- Contributes to internal workstream and/or company initiatives as appropriate. Attends all company meetings and town halls
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of social media strategies and platform nuances across primary social channels – Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok – with working knowledge of YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, Bluesky
- Understanding of social media tools as well as web-based research tools, i.e., Netbase, Brandwatch, Julius, etc. and oversees social media audits, listening projects and influencer discovery from junior team members
- Fosters positive relationships across organization through leading key areas of organizational efforts (company marketing/social media efforts, professional development opportunities, mentorship program, team outings coordination, etc.)
- Aids in development of POVs in collaboration with senior team and EVP; coaches junior team on development of weekly Download and provided senior review
- Provides senior oversight of assigned social media platform cheat sheet & best practices and coached junior team on regular updates
