Location: Brussels
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

About Incisive Health

Incisive Health is an award-winning health policy and public affairs consultancy. We work at the intersection of healthcare, politics, and communication — helping leading healthcare companies and organisations understand fast-paced policy environments, shape impactful strategies, and deliver results that matter for the patients they serve.

Our Brussels team partners with global and European clients across the life sciences and medtech sectors, providing strategic advice on EU policy developments, stakeholder engagement, policy research, coalition-building, narrative development, and campaign execution.

The Role: Account Director / Senior Account Director

We are looking for a talented, experienced, and strategic Account Director (or Senior Account Director) to join our growing Brussels team. The ideal candidate will bring at least eight years of experience in public affairs, health policy, or communications, with a strong understanding of the EU policymaking landscape. Prior agency experience is a strong asset.

You will be responsible for driving client strategy, managing large workstreams, supporting new business efforts, and playing a key role in developing and mentoring junior consultants. You will be evaluated on both hard and soft skills — combining policy depth, strategic thinking, and delivery excellence with empathy, integrity, and team leadership.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and overseeing complex client programmes in EU health policy and public affairs
  • Advising clients on strategic positioning, policy opportunities, and stakeholder engagement
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted senior point of contact
  • Coaching, mentoring, and managing junior team members with empathy and clarity
  • Supporting business growth by identifying opportunities and contributing to pitches
  • Providing quality control and strategic oversight on deliverables
  • Representing the company externally with professionalism and credibility
  • Contributing to the development of the company’s offer and internal culture

About You

  • At least 8 years' experience in public affairs, policy, or health communications
  • Strong expertise in the EU institutional and policy environment (health focus preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing people and projects
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining delivery-oriented
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English (other EU languages an asset)
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive, respectful team culture

Why Join Us?

  • A senior role in a dynamic, growing EU health policy team
  • A strong portfolio of clients tackling some of Europe’s most important health challenges
  • Clear opportunities for leadership and professional growth
  • Supportive team culture that values quality, curiosity, and integrity
  • Access to training, mentoring, and personal development resources
